Also called XPS or Extruded Polystyrene foam, Blue Blocks are composed of closed-cell foam that is fed into an extruder and then placed into a die, where it expands, cools and is then trimmed to dimension. Because of the extrusion process and single-piece construction, Blue Blocks are smoother and more dense than White Blocks. This allows them to snap off without making a mess and support those really heavy couches.
